Welcome to the Surrey Primary League. We have been providing ‘Friendly Football For All’ since 1994 and we pride ourselves on providing an enjoyable environment in which players, officials and supporters can experience organised football.

From humble beginnings we now boast a membership of over 500 teams with more than 7500 players registered to play. From our ranks have emerged professional (and even international) players but, first and foremost, the emphasis has always been to provide a safe, fun and encouraging environment.

We aim to give our members the best possible experience and welcome any feedback, comments and suggestions that can improve our service. For more information about the Surrey Primary League, click here

Helpers Required

The SPL is YOUR league and cannot run effectively without YOUR support. We need helpers to assist with upcoming events and also to take on roles within the league. This can involve as little as a couple of hours a week but is vital to the effective running of the league.

If you have something to offer we would be happy to meet up and have an informal chat.

Referees Announcement

If you have a qualified referee that regular officiates for you, who you feel would be suitable for the SPL Finals, please send their details to referees@surreyprimaryleague.com

I’m pleased to announce that Tony Ridley has agreed to assist with referee appointments and he can be contacted by email: tony_ridley@hotmail.com

Kit Reminder

Please remember that teams are not permitted to play in predominantly black or very dark colours. This is a well-established FA Rule and I thought it best to remind everyone now so that money isn’t wasted on an unusable new kit. We realise that some teams have black/dark kits already in use – please replace these for next season and be sure to carry sufficient bibs/change of shirts to home & away games in the event that the match official objects to you wearing them this season.

Match Day Reporting

There still appears to be some confusion regarding Match Cards and Online Reporting.  Match Cards must be completed AND EXCHANGED prior to the commencement of the fixture – having also checked the Player Registration Cards against the names on the Match Card. After the game, you should complete the Online Match Card on the FA Full Time system. If you have any concerns or queries, please seek advice. For more information click here.

Kick Off Times

Kick-off times are between 10.00 and 14.00. In the event of the ‘away’ team refusing to play at the scheduled time, the game will be awarded to the ‘home’ team. We have been informed of instances where the ‘away’ team have stated that they will not play afternoon games – this is unfair to the players of both teams and contrary to League rules.
